CHICAGO, IL – While a continuing role on the hit show ‘Empire’ may be out of the question, a new career as a roving correspondent covering hate crimes may just be the solution Jussie Smollett needs to keep his career going.
Citing how “uncomfortable” it is on set to have Smollett and his hoax attacker Ola Osundairo working together still, it is reported that ‘Empire’ production team is releasing Smollett. An upcoming episode called for Smollett to be attacked by Osundairo’s prisoner character and the writing staff just felt it was “all too real.”
Smollett didn’t put up much resistance as he cleared out his dressing room but our investigative reporters may have discovered why in a recent Tweet from CNN:
An undisclosed source inside one of the most widely trusted news outlets told Blue News: “Honestly, we are thrilled to be bringing Jussie on board. Who else is poised to be able to recognize the elements of what’s dividing America and the attention to detail necessary to report on the resulting crimes? He’s perfect…just perfect.”
It is widely rumored that Smollett will be considering hosting a show on the network with Kathy Griffin that will explore the value in virtue signaling among the political and entertainment elite, though this remains unconfirmed.
